For art, music and theater lovers
September 13th, 6pm at Lory Student Center Theater
LCCC’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival features films that offer our audience a journey into some of the most beautiful places on earth, complemented by stories of inspiration, activism and finding solutions to restore our planet.
Saturday, September 15th, 1pm in Old Town Square **FREE**
A trip to Germany is as close as a drive downtown! Soak up some sunshine and enjoy great music and German-themed cuisine at this annual outdoor festival.
September 17th at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art
The series explores the cross-fertilization between music and the visual arts, with concerts in the galleries. Performances by CSU Music faculty and students are enriched with context provided by faculty from the Department of Art and the CSU School of Music, Theatre and Dance. Free, but registration is required.
CSU Virtuoso Series Concert: Amalgam Trio
September 18th at CSU School of the Arts
The recently formed trio, led by faculty artist Shilo Stroman, explores unusual instrumentation. Additional guests augment the vibe trio as the musicians perform a variety of music, including original works by the group.
For those who love that active Colorado lifestyle
September 2nd, 8am in Downtown Fort Collins
Join in Fort Collins’ latest Labor Day weekend tradition as you “go fort and conquer!” this fun 10k. Run, jog or walk your way through several of the city’s iconic locations, finishing at Canvas Stadium.
September 7th, 7am at Lory State Park
If you enjoy trail running, you’ll love this half marathon, which features 2,000 feet of vertical gain and decent and has fantastic views of Horsetooth Reservoir and the Rocky Mountains.
September 8th, 9am at City Park Fort Collins
Join 3Hopeful Hearts for our 7th Annual Community 5K and Super Hero Kids Fun Run! This year’s Kids Run is all about Super Heroes, and every child participant will receive a free cape to design themselves at the event.
September 21st at the CSU Stadium
Designed for people of all fitness levels, this first annual event gives you the opportunity to be part of something BRAND NEW for the Northern Colorado fitness community!
September 22nd, 7am in the Poudre Canyon
Finish the summer strong with this half marathon! Enjoy the beauty and downhill course along Colorado’s only wild and scenic river.
For those seeking some family fun
GoodGuys 22nd Colorado Nationals Car Show
September 6th – 8th at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, CO
Come see the 2,000+ Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks thru ’87. There will be events for the entire family including live music, a kids zone, swap meet and a few car races!
September 15th, at Spring Canyon Park Shelter
Dogs of all ages, sizes, & abilities compete in 4 levels and across 14 events (25 Yard Dash, Land Retrieve, Toy Catch, Marathon Down, Obstacle Course, etc.) See www.doggieolympics.com for details & to register.
September 28 – 29 in Estes Park **FREE**
The free festival features bugling contests, elk exhibits, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, elk seminars, elk-inspired arts and crafts, Native American music, dancing and storytelling, a children’s area with elk-themed activities, and a craft beer garden.
